Yesterday's trade deadline saw plenty of moves as general managers looked for ways to improve their clubs futures. One player that was moved was Pat Maroon, who joined the Boston Bruins. Today he addressed the trade for the first time with the media.

Maroon Addresses Boston Media About Joining Bruins

Maroon has a well-developed reputation as one of the league's top tough guys. He can score, but he will also ruin your day with a huge hit. Similarly, he's not afraid to drop the gloves. As a result, he's one of the more controversial players in the league as fans of his team often love him with everyone else not liking him so much. He addressed this fact about himself after he was traded to the Bruins, a team he has a history with during his years with the Lightning.

🎥 Pat Maroon on joining the #NHLBruins: "It's gonna be fun...I feel like I'm hated here. But no, I'm super excited. Original Six team...I've heard nothing but good things about the locker room. A great opportunity for us to go achieve our goal and accomplish it."

Bruins Fans Excited For Maroon Joining Team

Many Bruins fans are having fun with the idea of having both Brad Marchand and Pat Maroon on the same team. While they have very different play styles, both players are known to get under their opponent's skin.

Maroon has not been as effective in recent years as he continues to age. The 35-year-old has just 4 goals and 16 points this season in 49 games with the Wild. However, this is a step up from his production last year where he scored just 14 points in 80 games with the Lightning. Now he will look to improve that production on a much better Bruins team.
