The NHL trade deadline is just one day away. With the deadline fast approaching teams are clearing roster space for new additions. This includes the Carolina Hurricanes who placed defenseman Tony DeAngelo on waivers.

Waivers today (#Canes clearing a ton of space):

Nashville claimed Jaret Anderson-Dolan from LA.

Waived:
Brendan Lemieux (CAR)
Tony DeAngelo (CAR)
Antti Raanta (CAR)
William Lagesson (TOR)
Jordan Oesterle (CGY)
Boris Katchouk (CHI)
Evan Cormier (FLA)
Tobias Bjornfot (VGK)

DeAngelo along with 8 other players will have a new home come the trade deadline. Depending on if DeAngelo clears waivers his future could be vastly different. If claimed DeAngelo will head to a new NHL city for the rest of the season. If not he will likely be sent down to the AHL.

If there are more updates on the future of DeAngelo's NHL career we will provide them to you.
