Former Senator and Lightning forward Cory Conacher has joined his old National League team, SC Bern, where he spent the 2015-16 season. The Burlington, Ontario native signed a contract that will see him play at SC Bern until the end of the 2022-23 season.

Conacher started the season with Lausanne HC, but was competing with Brian Gibbons, Mark Barberio, Cory Emmerton, Vladimir Roth, and Charles Hudon for one of the four "foreigner" spots on the roster.

During the 2015-16 season with SC Bern, Conacher had 52 points (22 G, 30 A), 68 penalty minutes, and was a +/-0.

"We are convinced that Cory Conacher will bring us important support to our forward group with the qualities he possesses." Said SC Bern general manager Florence Schelling.

Conacher, 31, has played parts of seven seasons in the National Hockey League with Tampa Bay, Ottawa, Buffalo, and the New York Islanders. In 193 regular season games, he tallied 75 points (28 G, 47 A), 118 penalty minutes, and was a -1. In 10 career playoff games, he recorded 3 points (3 G), 41 penalty minutes, and was a -3.
