The Pittsburgh Penguins managed to down the Washington Capitals 6-3 on Valentine's Day. However, it was a nasty fall by Caps' forward Nic Dowd that had everyone talking. Dowd went down in a very awkward way while battling for the puck with Pens captain Sidney Crosby and Chad Ruhwedel with just over six minutes left in the second. At first, it appeared that Crosby may have went for a slew foot type play on Dowd, but it was Ruhwedel who was called for a tripping penalty. Check it out:

Dowd would limp down the tunnel following the fall but would eventually return to the game with about a minute left in the second.

There is a ton of chatter on social media that Crosby got away with a dirty play on this one. Honestly, it's difficult to tell from the video whether it was Crosby's leg or Ruhwedel's stick that causes the fall. Either way, we're sure the chatter will continue, especially among Caps fans.
