The Boston Bruins are one of the oldest teams in the NHL, and as such, it comes as no surprise that they bring with them plenty of history and some strict team rules as well.

Derek Forbort scratched for breaking a team rule

According to a Bruins reporter, Derek Forbort, veteran defenseman will miss the teams upcoming game, but not for the reasons that many fans expected.

With interest in Noah Hanifin and other blue liners, many thought this was trade related, but now, it's been revealed as the result of missing a team meeting.

Derek Forbort will not play. Missed a team meeting.

On the surface it may seem harsh, but this is the type of culture that's allowed Boston to be competitive year in, year out, and you can bet that Forbort and other players won't be missing a team meeting again anytime soon.
