The NHL announced on Wednesday that the Philadelphia Flyers next scheduled game against the New York Rangers on February 14th has been postponed due to an ongoing COVID-19 outbreak within the team.

The Flyers now have three players on the COVID-19 protocol list after captain Claude Giroux and defenseman Justin Braun were added on Tuesday. Defenseman Travis Sanheim was the first Flyer placed on the list on Sunday.

As a result, Philadelphia's game on Tuesday night against the Washington Capitals was postponed.

The National Hockey League also announced that the Flyers will be able to re-open their practice facility on February 15th, as long as no further positive COVID-19 test are discovered. Their first game back will take place on Thursday February 18th against the New York Rangers, three days prior to heading to Lake Tahoe and taking on the Boston Bruins in an outdoor matinee.
