Today, insider Elliotte Friedman reported that two teams from the original six have placed players on waivers.

Waivers Announced for Players from Detroit and Boston

Elliotte Friedman revealed in today's waiver list that two storied franchises have made moves involving their rosters.

Steen (BOS) & Luff (DET) on waivers

Oskar Steen, participating in 34 games for the Bruins this season, has managed to net only one goal, with his average playing time being less than 10 minutes per game.

Matt Luff, on the other hand, has not seen any game action this season due to an injury sustained during training camp and had participated in 19 games for the Red Wings last season.

He has been somewhat more productive offensively, recording 2 goals and a total of 4 points. Luff is with his third team, having previously played for the Kings and Predators.

The outcome of the waivers for both players will be known by tomorrow at 2 pm.
