Tonight a scary scene developed involving a referee in a contest between the Ottawa Senators and Chicago Blackhawks.

Referee Rushed To The Locker Room After Taking Shot To The Face

Early in a game between the Blackhawks and Senators a chaotic scene occured. Blackhawks forward Boris Katchouk had the puck along the left wall in the offensive zone. He decided to take a shot which missed the net and struck a referee in the head.
Oh man, referee Furman South just took a puck to the head off a Boris Katchouk shot. #Blackhawks
Ferman South the referee was forced to leave the game and rushed to the locker room after the scary injury. South would leave and not return as the crew would go down to one referee and two linesmen.
