The New York Islanders haven't been playing their best hockey as of late, resulting in them falling out of a playoff spot, and now Coach Patrick Roy is punishing the players.
Patrick Roy makes the Islanders run dreaded suicides
After practice recently, one insider revealed that Patrick Roy was making the team do the dreaded suicides, as he was simply not happy with the team and their effort.
Since taking over, the Islanders have continued to struggle, and with the Metropolitan Division being so tight, they now find themselves on the outside looking in at a playoff spot.
Can the Islanders make a playoff push under Patrick Roy?
Despite that, this is a team still full of veteran talent that know how to win, and with one of the best goaltenders in the world, this team will no doubt have the optimism that they can get in and make a big push.
It doesn't appear as though Roy is happy with their play and their efforts as of late however, so making the teams go through this dreaded drill could potentially motivate them to improve going forward. Only time will tell.
