The Pittsburgh Penguins will be without one of their forwards for the rest of tonight's game after an incredibly dangerous and vicious hit from an opponent.

Penguins Forward Knocked Out Of Game After Vicious Hit By Jets Defenseman

A scary scene developed tonight when Pittsburgh Penguins forward Noel Acciari was carrying a puck through the neutral zone in a game. As he carried the puck Jets defenseman Brenden Dillon stepped up and laid a vicious hit to Acciari's head with his elbow.
what an absolute gutless hit by Dillion on Acciari.

exactly the type of thing the league is trying to get rid of. 5 minute major was 100% the right call & it should lead to a call from DoPs
Acciari would need to be helped off the ice and has not returned to the game at this time. As for Dillon he was given a major penalty and ejected from the game. He will likely have a hearing with the NHL and face a potential fine or suspension.
