During their first game back from the All-Star Break Boston Bruins captain found himself on the bad end of a scrum. Marchand found himself getting absolutely smoked by a rookie on the Calgary Flames.

Flames Rookie Demolishes Marchand In Major Scrum

Near the end of the first period of the contest between the Boston Bruins and Calgary Flames, a brawl broke out. The scrum began due to Bruins captain Brad Marchand whacking away at the Flames goalie. As a result of his aggressiveness Flames rookie forward Martin Pospisil stepped in to defend his goalie.

Pospisil came in and demolished Marchand with a hit where his elbow came up near the head of Marchand. This led to chaos and all players on the ice involved in the ensuing scrum.

Both teams would eventually be separated and get back to the game. The Bruins as of now still find themselves down 2-0 at the first intermission.
