This evening Alex DeBrincat and his family made an exciting announcement via the Detroit Red Wings social media. The post by the Red Wings confirms the birth of Alex and his wife Lyndsey's second child.

The DeBrincat family has had a lot to celebrate within the last week. This past weekend DeBrincat was honored as an All-Star in Toronto. Now he will look to get back with the Red Wings for the second half of the season with a new fan in the family.

With new baby boy Maverick healthily brought into the world Alex can shift his focus back to hockey in the coming days. The Red Wings will need him to play a big part in their push for the playoffs.
The Detroit Red Wings are currently sitting in the second Wild Card spot in the East. With some of the most games played in the NHL the Red Wings will need to play well in the second half to keep their spot. To accomplish this they will need super dad Alex DeBrincat to continue playing at an elite level.
