Leafs Game Nearly Cancelled After Fire Alarm Erupts During 1st Period
The Fire Department made an announcement over the PA system during the first period tonight in Toronto.
The announcement came as a surprise to those in attendance, as well as fans at home, who could hear the announcement as it was made. What made the scene even more unusual is the fact that the announcement came during play. They did not halt play for the announcement so the players on the ice reacted as if nothing was out of the ordinary.

The Leafs are looking to secure a playoff spot as they are int he midst of a crowded field for the 3rd spot in the Atlantic, as well as both wild card spots. Currently, the team technically holds the top wild card spot but just one point separates them from the Red Wings. Stay tuned to see if the team can solidify a playoff run this season.
