The Arizona Coyotes have exceeded expectations this year. However, their long-term future is in serious jeopardy.
Friedman Reveals Massive Bombshell About the Future of the Arizona Coyotes
Over the past few seasons, the Arizona Coyotes have faced countless issues regarding their home arena. Their future in Arizona remains in question as they continue to struggle to find a permanent home. NHL insider Elliotte Friedman is reporting that time could be running out for them in Arizona.
"Friedman on Ryan Smith/Utah expansion statement: 'To me, that's a message to the Arizona Coyotes. The NHL has basically said they need to know about Arizona by the All-Star break, well, we're a week and a half from the All-Star break'"
The executive director of the NHL Players' Association Marty Walsh also gave an update on the Coyotes' situation. This could mean serious trouble for the team.
"They were talking about, ‘Oh, we're going to find a new place pretty quickly.' The year has gone by and they haven't found anything, at least to my knowledge. So the clock is ticking on Arizona, in my opinion.» - NHLPA Marty Walsh
Only time will tell what comes next for the Coyotes. One thing is for sure: they need to act fast to avoid further drama.
