BREAKING: Flames Place Two Players on Waivers

In breaking news, the Calgary Flames have announced they have placed these two players on waivers today. We will see if they get claimed.

The Calgary Flames are in an interesting position as the All-Star break comes up. They sit near the bottom of the standings and have had a pretty disappointing year in their first since GM Brad Treliving left.

Now, it looks like they are gearing up to make some moves, and have placed Adam Ružička and Nick DeSimone on waivers today.

Ružička is a bottom-six centreman who has appeared in 39 games thus far with the Flames. He has recorded 3 goals and 6 assists for 9 points so far but has a disappointing -8 rating.

DeSimone is an undrafted defenseman who has played in just 23 games so far this season, tallying 1 goal and 4 assists with a -4 rating.

We will see if any team decides to take a shot on either Ruzicka or DeSimone or if they will be heading to the Wranglers of the AHL.
