In breaking news, Shane Pinto has just signed a new contract following his massive suspension for gambling.
Pinto Signs One-Year Deal With Senators After 41-Game Suspension
Shane Pinto was suspended earlier this year in a groundbreaking, first-of-its-kind suspension for 41 total games. Now, Pinto has signed a new deal for league minimum with the Ottawa Senators.
Pinto is eligible to return after serving all 41 games, and that will be on Sunday against the Philadelphia Flyers.
NEWS: #GoSensGo have signed Shane Pinto to a one-year, $775k contract. He's eligible to return from suspension on Sunday against PHI.
This is an incredible deal, even though it is for half of the year. Last season Pinto scored 20 goals and added 15 assists for 35 points. If he is able to produce at a similar rate this season for the Senators, that is a massive deal for Ottawa.
We will see if Pinto cracks the lineup on Sunday against the Flyers.
