Tonight the Boston Bruins are facing tragedy after one of their biggest stars had to be helped off the ice in overtime.

Bruins Star Unable To Leave Ice On His Own After Suffering Injury

A heated battle between the Boston Bruins and Arizona Coyotes spilled over into OT tonight. Two teams that are outperforming expectations fighting for an extra point. During overtime a worst case scenario happened for the Bruins as starting goalie and former Vezina Trophy winner Linus Ullmark went down with an injury.
Luckily for the Bruins they still had Jeremy Swayman who is one of the better goalies in the game himself.
Swayman would come in but despite his best efforts, the Bruins would lose 4-3. The Bruins will now wait for medical updates on Ullmark and decide their next course of action. With Swayman being as good as he is he will likely just fully become the starter with an AHL call-up backing him up.
As more information becomes available on Ullmark's injury and recovery we will pass it along to you.
