After a year in the KHL, Artem Anisimov is coming back to North America. He signed a Professional Tryout with the New York Rangers' AHL affiliate team: the Hartford Wolf Pack.

Artem Anisimov is giving it another go in North America, signing a professional tryout agreement with Hartford @WolfPackAHL.

Anisimov is returning with the organization that drafted him in 2006. If he plays well in the AHL, he could earn a spot with the Rangers sooner than later.

Anisimov is a substantial addition to the Wolf Pack's offense. He scored 36 points (19 g, 17 a) a season ago for the Lehigh Valley Phantoms in 55 games, finishing 6th on the team in scoring.

The 771-game NHL veteran joins the team immediately and will wear #42.

More to come.
