Yeah.. that's a lot of numbers. The Capitals have signed Ethan Bear, who made $2.2M last season, to a two-year deal worth $4.125M, carrying an annually average value of $2,062,500.
Bear, who hasn't quite had the most normal NHL career, is now on his fourth NHL team. We will see if he is a long-term piece for the Capitals as they enter the post-prime Ovechkin era.
