The game was just a regular Central division battle between the Nashville Predators and the Dallas Stars with future playoff implications on the line.

After the first period the shots were 12-8 Nashville in a pretty even game. In the second period Nashville was able to get two goals past Dallas netminder Scott Wedgewood. The shots in the second period were 16-7 Dallas after Nashville scored early.

Dallas scored halfway through the third period to cut the lead to 2-1, then the unbelievable happened.
