A number of modifications to upcoming games have been revealed by the National Hockey League and its broadcast partners; some of these adjustments will make it more challenging for certain fans to find the games they had planned to watch.

The NHL makes some changes for fans

The league standings this season seem to have played a major role in these games shifting, since several games involving the top teams in the standings receiving more attention on national broadcasts. A game that is set for February 24th between the Philadelphia Flyers and the New York Rangers is a noteworthy example of this. The game has been shifted to ABC with a 12:30 pm start time, from its original broadcast on ESPN+ and the Hulu streaming service. This is most likely a result of both teams' success this season, even though it isn't mentioned clearly.

Three games were moved over to the national broadcast on ABC, and the NHL has countered that by moving three other games to ESPN+ and the Hulu streaming service. Those three were originally scheduled to air on ESPN.

Game time and viewing changes for fans

Three national exclusive games have been added to the ABC schedule: Los Angeles Kings versus Boston Bruins, Saturday, February 17 ; The New York Rangers face the Philadelphia Flyers on Saturday, February 24; and the Carolina Hurricanes take on the New Jersey Devils, Saturday, March 9.

The following games will be available exclusively on ESPN+/Hulu:
- January 18 – Nashville Predators Los Angeles Kings
- January 23 – Buffalo Sabres Anaheim Ducks
- February 15 – Dallas Stars Nashville Predators
- March 26 – Columbus Blue Jackets Arizona Coyotes
- March 30 – Vegas Golden Knights Minnesota Wild

There have been plenty of examples of NHL game time chages
