The Chicago Blackhawks endured a tragedy in recent days. In the after math of the tragedy some of the Blackhawks' veteran players spoke.
Blackhawks Player Faces Tragic Family Passing
Earlier this week it was announced that Larry Korchinski father of Blackhawks defenseman Kevin Korchinski had passed away.
We're devastated to hear of the passing of Saskatoon Blades alumnus, Larry Korchinski.

Korchinski stepped away from the team to grieve with his family. The Blackhawks as a team attended the funeral services for Korchinski.
Blackhawks Veterans Release Heartbreaking Statement
After the funeral, the Blackhawks returned to practice. After practice a couple of veteran players Connor Murphy and Nick Foligno spoke about the experience of the last few days.
Connor Murphy: "It's unimaginable what him and his family are going through. We were really fortunate to be with them there yesterday. For us to get closer and for them to feel our love, that we're there for them, is most important."
The Blackhawks are fully in support of Korchinski and his family. As Kevin and his family continue their path through their grief they remain in our thoughts.
