Marc-Andre Fleury is coming to the end of his career, and it is looking more and more like his retirement after this season will happen, as he got emotional in a recent interview about playing potentially his last game in Pittsburgh.

Fleury Gets Emotional During Interview Regarding His Potential Last Game in Pittsburgh

Marc-Andre Fleury is on somewhat of a farewell tour, it seems, even though he hasn't officially announced his retirement. It is highly likely that Fleury retires soon, and the emotions of that are hitting him, as he addressed the media before his game in Pittsburgh.

"I didn't want it to be in every city like, 'Oh, this could be your last game," Fleury said.

"That being said, I know it could be. So, at the same time, maybe I would have regret not doing those moments. So I've got to enjoy little things like that.
"But I don't know, I don't want to be thinking every day. I'm soft, too. I don't need all these emotions."

Fleury Has Emotional Attachment to Team That Drafted Him

While Fleury doesn't want to make a huge deal about playing his potential last game in every city he goes into, Pittsburgh is different. They drafted him 1st overall back in 2003, and he played 13 seasons with the team, an NHL career in itself.

Marc-Andre Fleury returns to Pittsburgh on Monday, possibly for the final time in his career.

Recently, he watched video from his NHL debut in 2003 and shared his memories of that remarkable night.

«Mike Lange said I found myself a home. He was right."

If it is his last game in Pittsburgh, it will be an emotional night for both Fleury and Fans, as they reminisce on his career.
