BREAKING: Corey Perry's Replacement Named in Chicago
The Chicago Blackhawks have officially named Corey Perry's replacement by naming a new alternate captain.
Blackhawks Name Dickinson Newest Alternate Captain Replacing Perry
Going into the 2023-24 season, the Chicago Blackhawks had four different alternate captains including the now terminated Corey Perry.
Since Perry has been terminated, the Blackhawks waited to name a replacement, but now a new player is wearing a letter.
Forward Jason Dickinson has begun wearing the A on his jersey which many fans have approved of. Dickinson has been one of the Blackhawks' best players posting 9 goals and 14 points in 28 games. He is second on the team in goals and third in points.
Dickinson was originally a first-round draft pick of the Dallas Stars back in 2013 and spent his career with the Stars and Canucks before heading to Chicago last year.
It is unknown if he will wear the A the rest of the season but seeing him wear one certainly hints at him being one of the leaders in the Blackhawks locker room.
