Capitals Owner Shares Relocalisation Plans for the Capitals

According to The Athletic, Ted Leonsis, the majority owner of the Capitals, plans to relocate the team out of downtown D.C. to Virginia.

Here's what was reported:

"NEWS: Washington Wizards and Capitals majority owner Ted Leonsis announced plans Wednesday to move his NBA and NHL franchises from downtown D.C. to northern Virginia, with a goal to be in a new arena by 2028."

This is exciting news for Caps fans!

By 2028, the franchise will be playing in a brand new arena in what could be a new beginning for the organization.

Leonsis also owns the Wizards, in the NBA, and that team will also relocate.
