A recent rumour has surfaced that the Boston Bruins are looking at this potential trade that would effectively replace the loss of Milan Lucic.

Bruins Insider Reveals that Pat Maroon is on the Out in Minnesota and Could be a Fit in Boston

It is clear the Bruins are missing a key piece to their lineup, someone who brings the physicality and isn't afraid to make their presence known. That player, Milan Lucic in the past, is a key part of the Bruins' play style.
Now, it has been rumoured that the Minnesota Wild could be moving Pat Maroon, who would fit that role almost to the tee for the Bruins. Bruins reporter Jimmy Murphy has reported that there is a growing sense that the Bruins could look to get Maroon this season.
«I'm starting to hear his name out there,» said the source as per Murphy. «He doesn't fit in with [John] Hynes' up-tempo style and hasn't brought everything they wanted when they traded for him.»

Maroon Would Fit Nicely in Bruins Lineup and Would be Low-Cost

Maroon would easily take on the role that Bruins' Head Coach Jim Montgomery has said is missing in the lineup, someone who brings grit and toughness to every play. What's more enticing is that it is rumoured that the cost to acquire Maroon is low, only just a 7th-round draft pick.

The low-risk of trying to bring in Maroon would be beneficial to the Bruins and would be something they are likely trying to work out. Maroon is on a relatively cheap deal as well, carrying just a $1 million AAV.
