This Canadian Team has officially become the front-runner in what is anticipated to be one of the most lucrative free-agency signings in the history of sports.

Blue Jays On Track to Sign Ohtani

It has been a wild week of news for Blue Jays fans, as just last week it didn't seem like the team even had a shot at signing baseball's biggest superstar Shohei Ohtani. Now, the team has officially become the odds-on favourite for him to sign with, in what many analysts are marking as the most lucrative free agency deal in all of sports.
The Blue Jays suddenly have the second best odds to win the American League on @BodogCA 👀 That was not the case yesterday. They've pulled the Shohei Ohtani odds with a deal supposedly imminent 🚨🚨
It was even rumoured that a sushi restaurant near by has been booked out for tonight, as many have speculated that this will be the location of the celebration of Ohtani's deal.

Some fans are going as far as to track a private jet that has been travelling from Los Angeles to Toronto today, assuming that is the plane with Ohtani on it.

It's going to be so funny if this is just some dude

Rogers Rumored to Be Dropping Hockey to Land Ohtani

Some have gone even further into the speculation, stating that Rogers, the owner of the Blue Jays, will be dropping the rights to Hockey in order to free up money to give to Ohtani, in a deal reportedly worth half a billion dollars.

This is easily one of the biggest free agent speculations since Kawhii left the Raptors, or even when John Tavares chose to sign in his hometown. It's rumored that there will be an announcement later tonight, so time will tell whether or not the Jays have landed the biggest free agent in recent history.
