The expectations of the Nashville Predators is that this is a rebuilding year. But recently they have won 7 out of their last 10 games and with a 12-12-0 record, look to still be in the running for a playoff spot. With that said, the team looks to still be looking to sell by the trade deadline. One star defenseman seems to have put himself on the trading block.

Predators GM Trotz openly discusses that Star Defenseman Barrie is Just Not Fitting In

In recent reports, the Predators have confirmed they gave Tyson Barrie permission to persue trade options. That was backed up by Trotz yesterday when he talked about how Barrie is just not fitting in.
The conversation went even further with Trotz continue to then blame Tyson for the possible trade leak.
"We were very disappointed it got out, because there's only about 4 people in the world that knew about it. I was very disappointed in that. It didn't come from the Preds, I do know that 100%"

It got even deeper when Trotz apparently not only felt Barrie and his team did not handle the situation well, but further went on to sound off on his lack of performance.
Finally, Trotz reiterates he was "very disappointed in the way Tyson handled it... and his group" while returning to his refrain "i want you to come here to win, i dont want you to come here to retire."

Seldom do we hear a GM talk about a current player on his roster like this. It definitely appears that Barrie will be finding himself playing on another team soon.
