This Sabres Star recently shared some choice words about his teammates after a disappointing loss, and he didn't hold back.

Cozens Shares His True Thoughts On How the Sabres Have Been Playing

The Buffalo Sabres were expected to take their next step in the rebuild this season and show some real signs of improvement, however, this isn't turning out to be the season the Sabres had hoped for.

The team currently sits near the bottom of the Atlantic division, with a 10-13-2 record. They have lost three straight, and 4 of their last 5 games. Dylan Cozens, one of the Sabres leaders, shared his unfiltered thoughts with how he thinks the team is playing, saying that he thinks they are too soft.

"I think we definitely play way too soft. We're too easy to play against and we need to get a little 'FU' in our game," he said. "I think we had more of that last year. We're way too soft this year. I feel like we don't kill plays. We kind of get bullied and stuff and we know we need to be way harder to play against. We're too easy to play against right now."

Sabres Are Without Key Piece Thompson

The Sabres have struggled without their key forward Tage Thompson, who has been out with an injury and only played in 16 of the Sabres games this season. In those 16 games, Thompson has recorded 12 points.

The Sabres are expecting an update on Thompson's injury status later today, and good news could mean they have an opportunity to make something out of their season still.

Head coach Don Granato said the team should receive injury status updates for Alex Tuch, Jordan Greenway, Zemgus Girgensons, and Tage Thompson today.
