Connor Bedard has gotten caught up in a bunch of social media rumors and now an owner of a Canadian franchise has spoken with Bedard about it.

Jets Reporter Asks Tonedeaf Question

Over the past week, Corey Perry was placed on unconditional waivers and had his contract terminated by the Blackhawks. While the truth about what truly went down is still unknown to the public, there was a rumor circulating on social media that involved Perry and the Bedard family.
When the Hawks headed up to Winnipeg, a member of the media asked Bedard a tone-deaf question regarding the rumor.
Winnipeg media asked Connor Bedard about the impact of the Perry «rumors» today. Frankly, I don't think this was an appropriate time to do so. But I do think his response is worth posting:

«It's just a bunch of BS on the internet. It's of course been an affect on myself and my family, and that's not fair. But it's out of our control. It's all just fake, made-up stuff.»

Many have reprimanded the reporter for asking this question and now the Jets' owner has gotten involved.

Jets Owner Speaks With Bedard On The Incident

Following this encounter, the Winnipeg Jets owner got onto the Chicago Blackhawks' team bus and apologized to Bedard face to face.
Darren Pang said on #Blackhawks broadcast that Jets owner boarded Hawks' bus to apologize to Connor Bedard for Winnipeg media's continuous questions about made-up rumors in Corey Perry situation.

Now that Bedard has commented on the rumors, hopefully, nobody else will ask a question about it because it has been deemed false.
