The New York Rangers 8-2-0 start has been fuelled by a star studded lineup, but unfortunately, they'll now be without one of their key pieces for a significant stretch.

A massive blow to the lineup

During the teams 2-1 win over Carolina, they lost not only Filip Chytil but also Adam Fox, and now, despite some optimism he would miss just a few weeks, Fox will now officially be placed on the Long Term Injured Reserve.
Sounds like #NYR Adam Fox will be out a little bit. He's heading to LTIR.

Louis Domingue has been called up, Igor Shesterkin was also a little nicked up last night. Jonathan Quick was scheduled to start on Saturday anyway.
Through 10 games, Fox was off to another stellar start, tallying 3 goals and 11 points, but now, the team will face the prospect of a loaded Eastern Conference without their Norris Trophy winner, who will be replaced by Louis Domingue while the rest of this talented blue line core will look to pick up the slack going forward.
