This Canadian captain has been all but confirmed to be suffering from a recurring and nagging injury that has sometimes hindered his play.

Marty St. Louis Discusses Suzuki's Injury After Game

The Canadiens squeaked out a victory last night against the Capitals in overtime, however, questions about their Captain Nick Suzuki's health were circling as the Captain was able to put up 2 assists even after suffering from an injury.

»Some nights he doesn't feel the best physically, but he can compensate as he's a smart player»

Despite Suzuki's performance, the quote from St. Louis is a bit concerning, as it indicates that the Captain isn't playing at 100 percent every night.

Suzuki Owned the Fact that He Needed to Be Better

Suzuki was struggling a bit before entering last night's game, however it appears that a discussion between him and head coach Marty St. Louis helped to get the spark going.

«I know sometimes you guys ask me hard questions but I don't wanna lie. I had a conversation with Suzy & he's the first one to say that he needed to play better. I wasn't doing that to spark Suzy, I would never use the media to spark my players.» - Coach Marty on Nick Suzuki

The classy move by St. Louis in not using the media likely goes a long way for his players, increasing the trust they have in him and his willingness to go all out every night.

Let's hope that that willingness isn't making Suzuki's nagging injury any worse.
