In recent news, Colorado's head coach has yet to confirm whether or not goaltender Pavel Francouz could be out for the season.

Avelanche Coach Doesn't Rule Out Possibility of Francouz Missing Rest of Season

Avalanche goaltender Pavel Francouz has been suffering from a lower body (groin) injury, one he has been dealing with since the beginning of the season. Now, head coach Jared Bednar is hesitant to present a timeline for his return.

#Avs Jared Bednar didn't rule out the possibility that Pavel Francouz' injury is season ending. It sounds like they're unsure if or when he'll be back.

"He's out until I get notice that he's even close to coming back."

Unfortunate News for the Cup Contenders

Colorado will always be a cup-contending team with the roster that they have up front, however, losing Francouz would be a big loss for the Club. Goalie depth is important in the playoffs, even as a safety valve, and Francouz was part of the team when they won the Cup in 2022.

Pavel Francouz brought the Cup to Pilsen on the US historic jeep as a message to the Pilsen's liberation from 1945..👌

Hopefully, he will be able to make a return this season.
