In a surprising development, we have learned that New York Rangers forward and his brother are in financial trouble.

Their burger chain, Brödernas, failed to repay a loan.

Both brothers listed their houses as collateral, and now their worst nightmare has become a reality.

"A total of four people and one company are being sued. Two of the individuals are New York Rangers star Mika Zibanejad and Monir Kalgoum, both of whom have invested in the hamburger chain Brödernas."

"Zibanejad and Kalgoum are included in the lawsuit because they chose to pledge their properties as collateral for a loan taken by Brödernas CEO Joakim Wiklander."

It has been revealed that they need to repay $400,000 USD, and if they don't, the bank will come for their homes.

At Least, Zibanejad's Not in Trouble on the Ice

The investment that the Rangers made by signing Zibanejad long-term is paying off more than the players' burger chain.

The 30-year-old center scored 91 points last season. This year, in three games, he already has four points.
