The Boston Bruins have made major changes to their roster. The Bruins' forward core is thin. The loss of several key veterans has caused new players to need to step up. One forward trying to fill the gaps is not living up to Bruins fans' expectations.

Bruins Looking To Replace Franchise Legends

This offseason signaled the end of the road for two Bruins legends. David Krejci and Patrice Bergeron both stepped away from the game this summer. This left a massive hole down the middle of the ice.
With that need in mind, the Bruins have brought in several NHL veterans to try and fill the void. This includes 9-year NHL veteran Patrick Brown. Brown spent last season split between the Ottawa Senators and Philadelphia Flyers.
Since coming to the Bruins he has had a rocky start to his year. He has faced a lot of criticism from fans over his play in the preseason. So much so that fans are demanding the Bruins make a move.

NHL Veteran Faces Massive Criticism From Boston Fans

Since becoming a Boston Bruin Patrick Brown has struggled to make a positive impact. Throughout his career Brown has been a depth defensive forward who generally has a low number of points. His preseason play now has fans demanding he be moved off the team.
how many more chances is Brown gunna get before they realize he ain't it? also keeping him over Beecher means THREE right handed shot centerman...

every time i noticed brown last night it was for the wrong reasons, maybe saw him make one decent play, why is he still on this damn roster
Fans are hoping that younger prospects like John Beecher or Matthew Poitras are going to get the opportunities that Brown has. Historically this Bruins team especially in recent years has been very veteran-heavy. With the retirement of several key players, a change to the youth might not be such a bad idea.
As final roster cuts approach it will be interesting to see if Patrick Brown survives to opening day. If he does Bruins fans might lose their minds unless his play turns around fast.
