The Sabres presently possess ample salary cap space to facilitate such a deal, boasting $8.77 million in cap room. This financial flexibility appears to be more than sufficient to accommodate Kane's contract requirements. The team may be contemplating a potential two-year arrangement, positioning themselves for a playoff push.
"Patrick Kane continues to make strides in his recovery from hip surgery. He has been engaged in rehabilitation in the Toronto area since July and anticipates at least another month of recovery. Buffalo's interest in him is evident. His return could significantly bolster various teams once he regains full health."
