The next GM of Team Canada has yet to be announced, but we now know who the front-runner is for the job.

Doug Armstrong Rumoured to be the Front Runner to Run Team Canada

Pierre LeBrun recently revealed who he thinks the next GM for Team Canada will be. This, of course, is if they are able to send NHL players to the Olympics in 2026, or if they are able to organize the World Cup of Hockey in 2025 after nearly a decade of rescheduling.
"My understanding is that St. Louis Blues GM Doug Armstrong, the GM of the 2016 World Cup champion team and GM of the would-be 2022 Team Canada had NHLers gone to China, is the front-runner to run Team Canada again.

Armstrong has a strong resume, Managing the 2016 Canada World Cup of Hockey Championship team. He has also brought the St. Louis Blues a Stanley Cup Championship as well.

New Faces Could be Tapped For Hockey Canada Management Team

LeBrun also revealed that he believes some new faces could be added to Team Canada's Management team, including the well-known young GM Kyle Dubas of the Pittsburgh Penguins.
It wouldn't surprise me to see some new faces as part of the next management team, though. For example, I could see Kyle Dubas being approached to be part of it." - Pierre LeBrun

There is something about international hockey that fans and players alike get excited about. Here is to hoping that we will see best-on-best international play again soon.
