A former top-10 pick has been given a chance by a Western Conference team looking for depth.

Ritchie Signs In St. Louis

It was just announced that Nick Ritchie, the 10th overall pick in 2014, has signed a PTO with the St. Louis Blues.

Nick Ritchie has joined the team on a professional tryout.

Ritchie played 74 games last season split between the Coyotes and Flames where he scored 13 goals and 26 points.

Ritchie has played 481 career games scoring 84 goals and 186 points in the process. He has played for the Ducks, Bruins, Maple Leafs, Coyotes, and Flames.

He will now focus on earning a contract with the Blues and hopefully make their opening night roster. At 28 years old, it seems like Ritchie has more NHL games left in him as long as he is given a chance to prove himself.
