Winnipeg jets one condition for Mark Scheifele trade revealed
The Winnipeg Jets kicked off their off-season by moving Pierre-Luc Dubois in a major blockbuster, and now, it appears that it's just a matter of time until their other top-six center is on the move as well.
One major condition
However, the Jets are making it clear that they aren't just going to give Scheifele away for nothing, and now, NHL Insider Elliotte Friedman has revealed the one major condition that needs to be met for a deal to go down.
In his latest report, Friedman reported that the Jets will only trade the veteran star if they can find a replacement center in a deal, and after landing Gabe Vilardi in the PLD trade, this makes plenty of sense.
A veteran Jet
Scheifele has been a key piece of this Jets team for over a decade now, playing in over 700 games with the team, but despite this, it appears the two sides just aren't on the same page anymore.
No. 55 is looking to compete for a Stanley Cup while the Jets are building a solid young core after the PLD deal, and whether it happens before the season or at the trade deadline, it appears the franchise icon is on the way out very, very soon.
