Edmonton's Evander Kane missed half of the 2022-23 season after a scary wrist injury. Now it seems we may have an update on his recovery progress.

Kane Speaks About His Injury

During a regular season game against the Tampa Bay Lightning, Evander Kane suffered a gruesome injury. He had his wrist cut by a skate leaving many wondering if he would play again.
Now he has given an update on his condition and the prognosis is a lot more positive than many thought.
There's still some numbness and all, but I have full mobility. I feel good on the ice.

Kane sounds like he will be ready to go for the upcoming season which is good news for Oilers fans.

What Can The Oilers Expect From Kane?

Evander Kane last season despite his injury played well in the games he was healthy. He finished his 41 games with 28 points. The frustrating thing with Kane can be his inability to stay healthy. He has played 75 games or less every season since 2018.
Now heading into his age 32 season Kane will look to provide a complimentary scoring role on the Oilers for the 2023-24 season. Edmonton might want to manage the power forward's number of games this season to keep him healthy.
Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl will be able to keep the Oilers going during the regular season. Kane will be most effective and essential in the playoffs where his power-forward style is most needed.
