Sokol Krasnoyarsk of the VHL made it official this morning. They have signed the Kazakhstan native in hopes of improving their team. Per reports, the contract likely has an out-clause if Khudobin can secure a more coveted KHL contract.
Terms not disclosed. Contract most likely has an out clause if he gets a KHL offer.
Going straight from the NHL to second-tier Russian hockey is quite the decline. Could he return to his superstar form against easier competition? We will just have to wait and see.
