Seven players have accused a coach in the Toplar UFA system of forcing them to take Performance Enhancing Drugs.

Coach Accused Of Forcing Players To Take PEDs

Recently, seven players from Toplar UFA, a Russian junior team affiliated with Salavat Yulaev of the KHL, have accused a coach, Igor Zagretdinov, of forcing them to take PEDs. with threats of ruining their careers if they did not oblige.

The seven players who accused the coach were caught with banned substances in their system and court documents have shown them accusing the coach of forcing the players to take them.

"According to the source, the athletes said that suspicious supplements and injections were prescribed to them by the physical training coach. According to them, they tried to resist, but the coach threatened them with complaints to the team director and career problems. The team management did not intervene in the situation, believing that the physical training coach knows better."

Zagretdinov's future is currently unknown and the players insisted they had never signed up for PED use.
