Jonathan Toews will be taking a year off from hockey but we already may know where he could go when he comes back.
Toews' Situation
About a week ago, Jonathan Toews said his farewells to Chicago stating that his time with the Blackhawks is over.
Throughout his 1,067-game career, he has spent it all with the Blackhawks and has won anything he can win on the team level.
He will be taking a year off to recover from the long-term effects of COVID. Now, it seems like his next destination may be known.
Toews' Ties To Boston
Toews has reportedly been looking at the Bruins as a potential place to play. Now it should be noted that when Toews was looking at going to Boston Patrice Bergeron was still around but now he could emerge as his replacement just over a year after.
Pagnotta also noted the potential fit between the Bruins and NHL veteran Jonathan Toews. Even though Toews had primarily been working on getting healthy and recovering from the effects of Long Covid, the Bruins were on Toews' radar dating back to last year as a potential destination.
As seen on Blade of Steel -Toews has his eye on one team when he returns to the NHL
