The Chicago Blackhawks have undergone a ton of change in the last year. From trading Patrick Kane to being able to draft Connor Bedard.
Another major change was the Blackhawks decision to not re-sign Jonathan Toews
Toews Becomes A Free Agent
For the first time in his career Jonathan Toews has become an unrestricted free agent.
This has led many to speculate what his future will be. Toews has been dealing with CIRS (Chronic Inflammatory Response Syndrome).
This has left him unable to play reliably for the last several seasons.
Will Jonathan Toews Play Again?
There have been rumors that Jonathan Toews has been interested in heading to Winnipeg for a year to play in his home town.
Recently though NHL insider Frank Seravalli has heard rumblings that the 35-year old is leaning toward retirement.
He does believe that there is still a part of Toews that wants to play and has the «itch» but this is most likely it.
Jonathan Toews To The Hall Of Fame
Jonathan Toews is a virtual lock for the Hockey Hall Of Fame.
With a career that spanned over a thousand games and included three Stanley Cup Championships. Jonathan Toews was also the Conn Smythe winner during the 2010 Stanley Cup run.
