It took arbitration to make it happen, but it looks like Jeremy Swagman is staying in Boston.

Though details remain scarce as of now, Bruins insider Fluto Shinzawa reports that Swayman's arbitration hearing with the the team ended yesterday. An official ruling by the arbitrator is expected by tomorrow, during which time neither Swagman nor the Bruins can continue negotiating.

Disagreement on Salary Figures

Elliotte Friedman also reports that Swayman — who just came off an excellent sophomore season in the NHL in a tandem with Vezina-winning Linus Ullmark — wants $4.8 million AAV on his next deal, while the Bruins only want a fraction of that ($2 million AAV).

It remains to be seen how much compromise the two sides have agreed to after arbitration, but Swayman is a hugely important player to have locked down nonetheless if you're a Bruins fan.
