We know that Gary Bettman doesn't often change things in the NHL. It seems to take something major happening before a change comes.

Now, the KHL has implemented a new rule, and Bettman should take some notes.

KHL's New Rule

In the Kontinental Hockey League, players will no longer be able to stand behind their net with the puck for more than three seconds. If they do, the play will be stopped, and there will be a faceoff in the player's defensive zone. The player will receive a warning, and there will be a fine if they continue.

NHL to Follow?

This rule is designed to increase action in games and make the pace faster.

We often see players taking their time behind their net, waiting for the other players to organize their attack.

It would be interesting to see this rule implemented in the NHL.

It might be challenging at first, but players will eventually adapt. I believe this would make the games more interesting to watch.

Would you like a similar rule in the NHL?
