Pierre-Luc Dubois has roasted the Jets in a new interview which has caused fans to become upset.

Dubois Roasts Jets

The Pierre-Luc Dubois saga in Winnipeg was one of the most drama-filled in recent memory. While it eventually ended with Dubois being traded to LA, it appears he is still taking shots at the Jets.

A recent interview shows Dubois taking subtle shots at the Winnipeg Jets.

Here are a couple of quotes from the interview:

"Honestly, I think it's just an opportunity for me to be who I am"

"I think I'm misunderstood at times, but I think a lot of people don't really know me. And that's fine. Sometimes in this world, it's hard to get to know guys. ... Now, it'll be a fun opportunity for me to just be who I am. Not show anybody, not prove to anybody, but just fully be me."

The Next Steps

The shot may not be evident on the surface but it is clear what he means with a closer look. In saying how it is an opportunity for him to be who he is, it implies the Jets organization and the city of Winnipeg were preventing him from being who he believes he is.

Regardless of his thoughts on Winnipeg, he will now have to focus on the LA Kings after the massive package they gave up to get him.

With LA, Dubois will have a more prevalent role and eventually transition from a 2nd line center into a first-line center as Anze Kopitar gets closer to retirement.

Dubois will have a big city behind him and one that will support him if he is able to bring a cup to LA. However, if he is not able to lead the Kings to success, he may have a firery end in LA as well.
