After a lot of rumours during the past months, Alex DeBrincat got finally traded by the Ottawa Senators to the Detroit Red Wings.

However, several teams were very interested in the small forward, including the New York Islanders.

We Now Know What the New York Islanders Offered for Alex DeBrincat

According to Andrew Gross, the Islanders offered Ottawa a package of Jean-Gabriel Pageau and Oliver Wahlstrom for Alex DeBrincat.

As a reminder, the Senators received Dominik Kubalik, a conditional first-round pick in 2024, Donovan Sebrango and a 4th round pick in 2024.

Should the Senators have accepted the Islanders' offer?

When you look at the Red Wings' offer and the one the Islanders made, it seems like the one from New York was better.
