Chris Chelios, a member of the Hockey Hall of Fame, has a lot of stories to tell from his hockey days. After all, he played more than 1600 games in his career.

Recently, he shared an interesting anecdote about a drunk driving accident that occurred on his draft night.

During a recent interview, he opened up about a car accident that he had on the day he got drafted in the NHL.

To sum up, he was hanging out with friends on the day of the draft, drinking beers and listening to the radio. Later, when he got drafted, he went to a party and crashed his car.

This didn't prevent him from having a glorious NHL career.

Chelios' Illustrious Career

Chelios played almost 30 years in the NHL for the Canadiens, the Red Wings, the Thrashers, and the Blackhawks, scoring 948 points in 1651 games.

He won three Stanley Cups, as well as three Norris Trophies and the Mark Messier Leadership Award.

He was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 2013, proving he had a huge impact on the sport.
