Orlov split last year between the Washington Capitals and the Boston Bruins, having being traded by Washington to Boston at the trade deadline.
Orlov put up seven goals and 36 points across the two teams, as his Bruins were unceremoniously dumped in the first round.
This short-term deal allows a quick payday for Orlov, while allowing him to re-enter the market in two years when the salary cap is expected to skyrocket.
